As originally threatened, we are getting this one "road ready" once again. It runs very well, but rust has caused lots of problems. And the power windows are lethargic to say the least.

Also: a sneak peek of what we'll be making a video about next. (As soon as the Keykeeper figures out where he misplaced our camera!)

  • @uxwbill You might have been looking at a 3400 sfi (the later ones that looked like 3100 sfis). The 3300 looks identical to the 3800.

  • @Thecarguy1254 Interesting. The one example of the 3.3 that I have seen appeared to be a 60 degree V6 engine. It looked just like a 3.1 in every way...maybe there is more than one variant? I'd put nothing past GM...

  • @uxwbill Very true, but the 330 (3.3) was a 90* v6. Essentially it was a down sized 3800.

  • @Thecarguy1254 All of the 2.8, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 and 3.4 were basically the same engine...a 60 degree V6 that just received slight modifications to increase its displacement over time.

You are correct in stating that these engines began life as Chevrolet engines. Even so, they were used in a Buick or two along the way.

  • @s8erboii30 This has the Buick 3800. The 3400 is a Chevrolet or Pontiac v6 I believe. Buick's v6s were the 3300 and 3800.

  • The Buick 3400 engine is the best one they made.

  • @phsycopiano Yes.

  • do you still have your gmc 6.2 diesel?
