  • if you're asking if they let me pass them yes of course, i was much quicker, that's why i am waving "thank you" at them.

    what you don't see in this video is all the other laps and chasing, especially from the STi.

    you don't see the last two laps where i'm on his tail waiting for him to let me by.

    eventually he gave up and let me go by and then tried to chase me for half a lap but couldn't keep up.

  • I got a joekid intake also.good idea on relocating the battery in the trunk.I never liked it in sitting so low in the front corner.What is your hp at the crank about 300hp?My 04 hit 135 then the governor kicked in.I heard the ecu on the 02 is ungoverned and can do over 150 have you ever hit top speed?and do you have 1/4 mile time and trap?good mods

  • well maybe it's a canadian thing but i do have a speed limiter even though everybody says i shouldn't and i don't like my TCM's forced upshift at 180.

    i haven't bothered to get my mechanic at the dealership (who sets up my car for the track) to look into because it's high enough and i don't go to any tracks that could even go that high lol

    My speed limiter is at 142 mph. I bounce off it.

    Also, does your '04 force an upshift into 4th at 180 km/h (about 112mph) ?

  • I hate that because you can't do a full pull on a dyno in 3rd.

    Also, i think the acceleration in 3rd would be great if allowed to hit 6500rpm, which would be 220km/h

    I have a problem with 1st gear, so my 1/4 ETs are horrible.

    My best modded is 15.80 but i trap over 91 mph.

    I've seen guys with a shit load of mods running high 14s/low 15s @ 91 mph

    Crank HP is estimated at 270HP based on dyno runs (200HP @ 5400rpm)

    I don't know how much power i make at peak 6500rpm.

  • when going from 3rd to 4th at full throttle at about 115mph i can feel the gear change and it does pull me back a bit.Feels like all the power kicks in right when 4th gear hits.I think this is normal but definitely get the 1st gear checked out.

  • couple mods, nothing major.

    - CAI by "Joe's Intake"

    - Mopar Trunk Battery Relocation Kit

    - Mild steering alignment for track use done at the dealership's laser alignment machine.

    - Falken FK-452 tires

    - cryo'd frozen slotted race rotors and matching Hawk race pads

    - custom 2.5" all stainless mandrel bent true dual exhaust with X pipe (makes 15HP and 25TQ on the dyno)

  • well to be honest the M3 wasn't really giving it.

    i'm sure the owner like most that show up don't want to damage their rides so they go easy or some aren't very good lol

    mine's over 270,000kms and i get 110% driving enjoyment from it at all tracks ;)

    that particular M3 and the STi did try to keep up but gave up quickly hehe

    i've been running RP 10w30 synthetic the last 100K every 12K
