  • Probably the greatest super heavyweight lifter under 125 kilos of all time. The man was pure muscle.

  • He had a successful 265kg C&J in '84. The man was a beast.

  • @therockana By the way, 82.5 KG records (S+CJ+Total) are better than 85 Kg records, 90 KG record is better than 94 Kg record, 100 KG record is better than 105 KG record and there was 110 KG catagory and then 110+ was better than 105+ records, so the old reocrds were lighter in weight (except the superheavy weight which is unlimited) and better in performance. There was in between restructure in the 1990's but records were low since that did not last, the current restructure was since 1998.

  • @khonfosh yeah they should definitely keep the record... i mean... if they shifted the weightclass, they can just fit in the existing record into the new structure right? why the need to erase it... i dont quite get it

  • @therockana No he had the record for 265 KG until it was broken by Leonid Teranenko 265.5 and then 266 KG. The current world record is after restrtcuting of weight classes. The superheavy weight used to be 110+, then was changed to 108+ then 105+ and everytime it was restructured, records were lost. Although I may understand 82.5 KG is not the same as 89 KG and is not the same as 85 KG, however, the superheavy weight, nobody is around 110 anyway, so records should have been kept

  • @khonfosh oh! is that why his 265kg C&J is not counted? because i think that's more than the current W/R of 263kg, right? correct me if im wrong....

  • @travelfjb He was not busted for using steroids, but rather selling them. But he must have been using it, right? The story is much more complex than that. The Americans were convinced that the Russians developed super steroids and they were willing to pay top money, hundreds of thousands, to get their hands on it. Pisarenko brought peice of shit stuff and sold it as super steroids and when the Americans found out they were duped, they set him up. They later undersood it was training not drugs

  • Is that why he was busted for steroids in the mid 80's?
