Sponsored by: http://www.Discount-Merchant.com - This is a video to show you how easy it is to replace your Samsung lamp code BP96-0224C BP96-0224E or BP96-00224J lamp using an OEM Philips lamp. Your enclosure might say BP96-00224J(P120W). The BP96-00224J is the part number and the P100W identifies the type of lamp used P = Philips and 120W obviously means it is a 120 watt UHP Lamp or Bulb. Because the ballast can output 120W, we will be using a 120W/132W UHP Philips lamp. The original lamp is a big, round lamp, but we'll be using the newer, vented lamps from Philips, pioneer of the UHP (Ultra High Performance) technology. This video also shows you how to replace any of the BP96-00224 series enclosures from Samsung. The only difference is that we use a small lamp adapter for the replacement lamp! If you have a BP96-00224A or BP96-00224B, you'll need to use a replacement lamp that has a 1.3mm arc--typically made by Osram or Toshiba. Philips uses 1.0mm arc now because the life of the lamp and power efficiency is increased through the 1.0mm design.
