Titan is observed occulting the binary star system NV0435215+200905 by the 200-inch Hale telescope at the Palomar Observatory. Observations like these are important because they shed light on the pressure and windspeed of a planetary atmosphere by watching the brightness and location of the distorted star image.

Note that during an occultation of either star, two images of the star are created, one on either side of Titan.
