How to get a couch out of a 2nd story apartment when it won't fit down the stairs:

When we moved out of our apartment, the couch wouldn't fit down either of the staircases. We didn't want to destroy the gutters on the side of the house getting it down, so we decided the only solution was to throw the couch off the 2nd story porch balcony. The box spring served as a test case and then cushioning to keep the couch from tearing up the yard. The couch survived with flying colors, no pun intended.
