43 here, and I am sooooo jealous of all you guys that actually watched the series as kids. All I ever managed to see was a 2 hour movie called "Voyage Into Space" that was re-edited from the series . But don't get me wrong, I LOVED watching that movie. And yes, I cried too when Giant Robot sacrificed himself to save the Earth.

Will someone hurry up and invent a time machine. I need to back to this time in my life. All these shows were the best.

I think the Robot's name was "Giant Robot" ... at least, that's the way Johnny always addresed him, as I recall.

Ohhh, hells yes! The movie that was put together from this series, "Voyage Into Space", was the first ever Japanese sci-fi movie I ever watched as a young laddie back in the early 70s, and I looooved it. Still do. Makes me poison to the average women, but who cares what they think? :)
