@MissSianTaylor i had my tonsils removed and i had no clue there were even tubes in my throat! i recently found out that there were, so no worries, you wont even know
i had surgery on my arm and i had allthose tubes put in,its kinda scary when u actually c how they do it.also i was asleep my mom came in wiv me and she said i looked so cute asleep and when i woke up tht was the 1st thing she said 2 me!!lol
@MissSianTaylor I had local anesthesia I was completely numb & relaxed dint feel a thinng. It took 2 mins & then the surgeon asked if i wanted to see my tonsils b4 they got rid of them and I said yes. It was so cool. I ate ice cream and cold soup with no salt. And it took about 2 weeks to recover I know for sure I started talking after 2 weeks cause healing takes longer as an adult where as a younger person wud heal much quicker. Good Luck hope all goes well for u &update me on how it goes! :)
Oooh :/ I'm definately being asleep, I couldn't handle being awake ;D Ah your lucky, I'm not aloud to eat ice cream, or yogurts because apparently it creates a film over your throat. I have to have frozen ice to suck or something like that :L Thanks for the reasurement! :D
@MissSianTaylor I had my tonsils removed but my surgery was different from yours in the sense that I was so afraid of being put under incase i dont wake up so I was referred to a chinese doctor who performed my surgey while I was awake. It only took 2 mins it was painless but ofcourse I felt the pain afterwards. But my reward was eating ice cream everyday. You wont have any tubes when u wake up so dont worry.
Im having my tonsils removed, they remove the all tubes before you wake up right? because I've seen a video and they removed one after someone woke up :/ I'm scared to death of my surgery now for some reason, at first I was like "Oh its fine!" now I want to back out but I cant :L
@MrsPabloNeruda Because the eyes stop tearing/blinking when the patient is rendered unconscious, and if they are not taped down, the eyes would dry out.

I LOVE anesthesia!
I've had several surgeries (orthopedic and 3 colonscopies and 1 endoscopy).
I LOVE counting down to see how long it takes before I go out!
It's much better than an ordinary sleep.
Anesthesia IS the #1 most important invention in the history of humans!
Well, it's a good tie with agriculture, I guess.
