Simple way to check if your condenser is bad. And pretty neat to watch the dramatic change it makes. By touching the lead of the condenser to the ignition circuit at the junction block and grounding the case of the condenser to the ground of the engine block, an additional condenser is added to the circuit. The increase in rpm when the condenser is added is because the engine is no longer missing.

  • What is this? What is it your holding? To bananas or do you sharpen your kitchen knifves at the flywheel? This doesent explain anything :)

  • it isn't supposed to. the description explains it which does require an understanding of points ignition systems.

  • your description is shit

  • please send me an edited description that may be more helpful. your comment is shit.

  • Woah, hey what did you just do? I may have to replace my condenser, but would like to check it...can you explain?

  • I added to the description which should explain what is going on.

  • Hey you are crazy, and misgiding to people about to check parts. without any explaination. I am sure nothing any body under stand that what your are doing on this video. Improve your presentation.

  • @Stanroc thanks, this was a straightforward explanation like I needed and now I know I have a bad condensor as several old used condensors are fine with this test but not the one on my vehicle as it just hands at 13.5K ohm versus going to infinity like my old used ones.

  • @Stanroc Sorry, it's voltohmeter, which was misspelled.

  • You can use a volthometer to test a condensor. Put it on an OHMS setting and, after discharging condenser by shorting pos to neg, touch red lead to POS and blk lead to body of condenser. Good if needle jumps to right & goes back to infinity. Then reverse leads after 20 seconds and needle should jump twice as far and return to infinity.

  • I understand fully what a condenser does. But not everyone has a scooter. So what are you doing?

  • @sensmoralen I agree, I hate videos like this and they keep saying "Read the description" blah blah blah, if it's a how to video. Talk fucker!

  • Hey Joe love the vid but i am a little confused to actually where in the juction lblock you add the second condensor it seems you connect it to the coil? If you could have a basic diagram i would love to see if this the fault on my sprint. Any help would be apprecated.
