  • @chrsplnc lol

  • @SlyDessertFox yea i got it already and barbarian invasion....this was like 4 months ago lol

  • @WebOnion I could not agree more. I think they fixed some of the firing problems in the Shogun patches. Now at least units wont fire into a hill or directly into the backs of your own men. I agree also that the Victorian Era are the limits. After that, they would be just about forced into makeing a Rome 2 and then maybe a medieval 3.

  • @SlyDessertFox If that's true, I really hope they pay attention on the terrain and how armies move in it. I'd hate for an entire army to stop moving, because one guy gets stuck in a trench or something. Not a single Total War game has failed me so far. Empire maybe little. The Victorian era is just about the limit for Total War games. WW I and II are impossible. Too many variables with terrain, troop sizes and the sheer amount of technological advances in warfare to implement.

  • @WebOnion Rome 2 is apparently the logical choice to everybody (including me) except Creative Assembly. Look at what they are doing with Fall of The Samura adding machine guns (the gatling gun) adding naval bombardments, and adding an intricate railway system. It is also set in the mid 1800's. This tells us that sadly Creative Assembly is testing this new engine to see how it goes and if it goes well, it will more than likely lead to a total war in the victorian era sadly.

  • @SlyDessertFox Well, according to the Wikipedia article, Fall of the Samurai is scheduled for release in March 2012. It also says a new Total War is in development, but no information has been released yet. I don't think it'll be Empire 2. The adaption of battlefield objects such as walls and houses was pretty awful, they need to work on that technology a bit longer. It seems to me that Rome 2 would be a logical choice. Medieval 3 is possible, but it'd be hard to top M2TW.

  • @chrsplnc Its only like 10 bucks.

  • @LightningRegiment I agree. Sadly I think they are going into the Victorian Era.

  • @WebOnion Well I believe Fall of The Samurai is the new total war game. It is technically standalone game, kinda like Napoleon. Sadly I think the next real total war game after that will not be a rome 2 total war but a victorian era total war, probably calling it Empire 2 Total War.

  • What I never understand about CWB rules is they dont allow elephants, but they dont put any restriction on urban or praetorian cohorts, which could seriously pown any other units including elephants in the game.
