@moriez87 Id suggest you learn your science a little better. Also your definitions. Canopy does NOT in any way shape or form define the o-zone layer. Canopy is generally a fabric, or something covering something. The ozone does not cover the earth, or act as a canopy. This is again scientifically DEAD wrong. There is no roof. This is spoken as uneducated sheep herders that described what they SAW, not what reality is.

@moriez87 The earth perspective does not matter when it comes to science. This is what you are not getting. Science is not about humanistic perspective, but what is reality. Scientifically your book is dead wrong, from the earths perspective the earth does not rotate around the sun, yet the sun around the earth, again scientifically wrong.
No you're wrong on the moon, the moon is NOT a light, period, in any form of the word. They THOUGHT it was, and they were dead wrong.

and as for the moon, "And made the moon a light in their midst, and made the sun as a (Glorious) Lamp?" -sura 71:16 - in my understanding when reading the above ayat it trying to hint us, people with so called 'scientific knowledge', that in fact the moon is reflecting light coming from 'the lamp'..

@moriez87 It clearly claims he reached the spot where the sun set, #1 you can't follow the sun, by doing so you'd follow it for eternity around the earth nonstop, first clue this is a lie. second he doesn't say in any water, he says specifically in a spring of murky water, as in one spot. It is extremely clear this passage is speaking as if they FOLLOWED the sun into it's one specific setting spot, either way again, you can say whatever you like and it's STILL scientifically dead wrong.

@moriez87 However to end this since I know you'll argue. "And made the moon a light in their midst,", yes it does indeed say it is a light. It is not, to argue this is to claim EVERY single piece of metal, every mirror, every single object that reflects light IS a light. In other words no matter how you want to rearrange what was said, it is scientifically dead wrong, PERIOD. Now for your little sun thing to end it.

The sun does not set in the water, it makes sense that bronze aged sheep herders that did not have the tools and education we do to not understand a clue wtf they were talking about. They were absolutely 100% dead wrong entirely on where the sun 'set'. In other words the Quran is extremely unscientific here, and in almost every verse.
The moon does not radiate light at all, nor is it in any way shape or form a light of any kind. It reflects light. Period.

3. Heavens as canopy - Earth does have canopy or protective roof, try learn about earth magnetic field and atmosphere. And in last days you can see heavens is rolled out, do you know that why is the sky is blue, if the earth roof is removed then the blue sky is missing like a paper being rolled out.....

Sun set in the water - If you are on the space sun doesn't set at all but if you are living on earth, sun does set, if you are on the beach you can see sun set in the water, or if you are some point of a lake, you can see sun set in that lakes. Since we are earth creatures then it makes sense to explain things in our perspective.
2. Moon a light and sun as a lamp - did the moon radiates light ? the ayat doesn't say it is the source of it right?
