Are you a racist because you disagree with President Obama's policies? Former President Jimmy Carter seems to feel that way. He said in an NBC interview that an "OVERWHELMING PORTION of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man," and that there is "a belief among MANY WHITE PEOPLE, not just in the South but around the country, that African Americans are not qualified to lead this great country." Why are these charges so wrong, insulting, damaging and counter-productive?

  • I can certainly agree with this standing watch. I disagree with most of what President Obama is trying to do, but it has nothing to do with him having a white mother or a black father. Why is it that Mr Obama is always refered to as black, when his mother and her parents were all white? Mr Jimmy Carter and Mr.Bill Cosby are trying to stirr up race problems. This is so evil. I was really surprised that Mr. Bill Cosby agreed with Mr Carter. They have both lost a lot of respect for doing this.

  • It seems that people will look and complain about everything except the true problems that we are dealing with. Instead of accusing and criticizing each other, we would be so much better off if we focused on improving ourselves by working to be more like Christ and praying for others.

  • More and more people are pulling the race card in an attempt to deflect attention from a bad decision. Really this is just a red herring. I'm sure it will intimidate some people from vocalizing their disagreement with poor decisions.

  • Great progam! It's so shocking to hear what Mr.Carter said! He should have kept his opinions to himself. He did more damage than good and should apologize for what he had said. Let this be a lesson to ourselves also to look into our hearts and think before we say something!
