wow and i thought my galv plant was bad, at least we wear ppe, including nomex suits. but out kettles also are about4-5ft above the floor. but seems we all dip the same product sometimes.
WOW!!! I work in steel (galvanizing lines) in canada and this process would be illegal. We wear hard hats, gloves, full uniforms, steeltoe boots, safety glasses and we have 4 1/2 foot guard rails all around our zinc and lead pans. These workers are not protected at all from a 850 degree celcius zinc pan...incredible....and sad.
It's cool to see the process - some captions would be helpful to understand the various dipping steps in different tanks. China talks about pollution prevention but this plants seems to just have the wind whipping through there, no containment of vapors from the environment and no safety gear for the crew either. Still, it is an interesting video.
their galvanizing plant sucks! they cant even do centerfuge!! any thing you want name it we can do it!! anything from a 4 inch bolt or bigger down to a 5/16 inch thread! washers? no problem! were one of the only ones in the industry that can do em and have the least percentage of stuck parts less than 1%!! now thats experience!! hang work aint shit to do, its the spinner work you have to know what your douing!!
