I have been dehydrating for fifteen years. I use the American Harvester Snackmaster. It has been on my "want list" for quite a while. Getting one pretty soon for my birthday.
To my mind, it is the ideal tool for dehydrating without electricity. It's compact for storage and travel, sanitary, and has a method of keeping bugs etc. out.
for those of us who sometimes without electricity, this is an excellent idea.
Especially like the dual purpose idea of sprouter.

you didn't tell me how this works...i may as well just sit food out on the counter

@ToneJermain Thanks! I thought it was just me. I have scanned all their videos and websites to figure it out but all they tell you is it uses a natural drying "process". It does not explain this "process" and if it works in all climates!! All I see are trays in a net so perhaps when you let food sit over the counter you can just cover it with net to keep bugs out? lol!

@candlecane Hi, I am Duane Email: derickson1@allwest.net, 801 652-5577. I am the inventor and would be happy to answer any of your questions. I might just say, i did not invent the natural food drying process. I just attempted to create a method, using modern materials to do it a little easier and cleaner that our grandparents did.

@ToneJermain I am the inventor 801 652-5577, email: derickson1@allwest.net. It is important to allow the air to get to all sides of the foods so they don't spoil. Please contact me, it works.
