@kageurufu Yep. All it would take is one hack, imagine the possibilities if some crafty terrorists decided to abuse it.  Huge pileups/major car crashes on major highways and intersections around the country.

1) No, use of algorithms is growing, AI has not been achieved anywhere. And you see people driving off into a lake because their GPS told them too

2) I honestly dont give enough credit, as a programmer, hobbyist hacker, and automotive enthusiast, I understand both systems. I regularly reprogram my car, and if someone else was able to do that for me, they could easily destroy things. Some hackers just do things to be malicious

1 People gave control on many other things before, I don't see a problem with driving. For example: use of AI in stock exchange is rapidly growing, satellite navigation, ...

2) You give too much credit to malicious hackers, especially in systems like these.

3) Systems like this don't have to be 100% secure. The point of this technology is to be more cost effective (faster,cheaper) and safer than human drivers would be.

I believe that this technology will change traffic as we know it.
