fantastic, but she needs a better orchestra, they play the song so mediocre it just ruins the song completely. and that's a shame since i hate almost all renditions of this piece

I don't mind the slide to the note, but it makes a difference when the final pitch is right on. When it's done right, it's like a virtuoso singer. Some slide well, but they don't get that final approach pitch dead on and it makes it almost depressing. This is very sweet.
I liked it.

She is one of the best out there, very comparable to Perlman and the rest. Personally, I like her's better.

There are many areas where an instrumentalist can excel. I believe that in the matter of drawing out a rich and nuanced range of tones from a violin Chee-yun is unsurpassed.Every sound that emerges from the violin is incredibly beautiful when she plays.I spoke with her briefly after she played the Dvorak violin concerto here in Portland two days ago.She is very intelligent as you would imagine. She is warm and accessible. She is actually even more beautiful than she appears in videos. Greg Gibbs
