Our journey into the heart of darkness, a Fox-sponsored spectacle that made me lose some faith in humanity but also made me laugh. I am from Texas, but I can honestly say I was confused and... well mostly confused by my fellow statesmen and women today. Basically it's a meaningless gesture that's in some confused way supposed to correlate with the battle at the Alamo. A place for disenfranchised white people to collect and air grievances, if you will. The best part for me personally was when some guy who was leaving early and clearly didn't realize I was one of the two people there who thought the whole thing was fucking ridiculous gave me a sign. After that, people actually treated me like a real person in some weird, folksy, and strangely obligatory way. The whole thing was pretty funny, and I saw more batshit insanity than I've seen in quite a while. So here's the story of our day, presented in my own amateur-ish style. Enjoy the lovable quirkiness of your fellow Americans... for now. Because apparently half of these people want Texas to secede. If I have to explain to you why that's stupid, you're stupid. This video is dedicated to Rick Perry's hair and Glenn Beck's ovaries.
