Bugs Bunny, Peter Cottontail, Thumper - all names of adorable, funny, loveable cartoon rabbits. Real rabbits are of course, just as cute. But caring for one as a pet also comes with real work.

  • There's no such thing as a "starter" pet. I've never understood why anyone would keep a rabbit in a cage. An enclosure is fine (sort of like an artificial warren for a house rabbit) but that's a far cry from a tiny cage. $500 a year isn't really too bad. Rabbits can teach us good lessons on stewardship.

  • @PinutButter13 Omg your EXACTLY like me! I'm 12 years old and I want a rabbit. I do TONS of research and am planning to let it out a few hours a day. But to anwer your question, yes I'm pretty sure it's okay to do that. ;-)

  • This video is absolutely right!!!!!

Best video I've seen about rabbit care!!!

  • I got a rabbit, and I am curious why mine doesnt seem too active shes 11 weeks and seems siddish, we bunny proofed our house and give her free range of our house when we are home but she chooses her cage most of the day even tho the door is open she just stays in the cage

  • @rainbowXsmurfs OMG I am 13 almost 14 and I am trying to convince my parents to let me get a bunny. I already have a hamster and a dog and they don't think I need or can take care of another pet, especially a bunny. I too am making a booklet of important bunny facts and needed supplies. Lol!

  • This man is no Rabbit expert. My daughter is brilliant with her Rabbit and she is even better than him. If he knew anything about Rabbits then he wouldn't try and turn it onto it's back. My daughter is always lecturing me about how not to do that because that is what they would do on a fight against a predator. Don't do that again or I will mark this video as inappropriate and make sure they are taken away from you hands.

  • rabbits should be as free and dogs and cats would be in a home. im a bit worried if the 3 bunnies leaving in those boxes with those brats were bonded, also kids make terrible rabbit slaves.

  • I was going to go to pet supermarket but seeing all those poor bunnys just makes me want to make a pair have a great/better life, YAY i'm getting one monday

  • @GirlyRockShow SAme here i an 12 and to show my paretnts i am ready for a rabbit. i am doing so much research and i made a booklet of facts :P ahah

  • @420premed As with any pet or living being in general, the personalities can vary greatly. I have one rabbit that is somewhat more conservative with her affections but the other will toddle after your heels for a nose rub for hours.

  • They're antisocial. Apparently my brother got a rabbit 3 weeks ago and I just saw him for the first time today

The rabbit can go where he wants in the house but he chooses to hide behind the toilet and attempts to chew through a copper water pipe 24 hours a day (with the exception of an occasional lap around the living room).
