പതിനാറാം നൂറ്റാണ്ട് മുതല്‍/ കേരളത്തിലെ കൃസ്ത്യാനികളുടെ ഇടയില്‍ പ്രചാരമുള്ള/ ഒരു നൃത്തനാടക കലാരൂപമാണ് /ചവിട്ടുനാടകം./ ഓപ്പറ, മിറക്കിള്‍ പ്ലേ തുടങ്ങിയ/ യൂറോപ്യന്‍ നൃത്തനാടകങ്ങളുടെ രീതിയില്‍ ചിട്ടപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുള്ള ചവിട്ടുനാടകം,/ കളരിപ്പയറ്റില്‍ നിന്നും ധാരാളം കടംകൊണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. / പോര്‍ച്ചുഗീസുകാരാണ്/ ഈ കലാരൂപത്തിന് കേരളത്തില്‍ തുടക്കമിട്ടത്./ തൃശ്ശൂര്‍,എറണാകുളം,ആലപ്പുഴ എന്നീ ജില്ലകളിലെ/ ലത്തീന്‍ കത്തോലിക്കരാണ് /ഈ കലയുടെ ആദ്യകാല പ്രയോക്താക്കള്‍.

ബൈബിള്‍ കഥകളോ/ കൃസ്ത്യന്‍ വീരന്മാരുടെ ചരിത്രങ്ങളോ ആണ് /സാധാരണ ചവിട്ടുനാടകത്തിന് പ്രമേയമാക്കുക./ പാട്ടും നൃത്തവും/ മധ്യകാല യൂറോപ്യന്‍ വസ്ത്രങ്ങളൂടെ കണ്ണഞ്ചിപ്പിക്കുന്ന നിറങ്ങളും സമന്വയിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുള്ള/ ചവിട്ടുനാടകക്കാരുടെ പ്രകടനം/ മറ്റു കേരളീയ കലാരൂപങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്ന്/ വളരെ പ്രത്യേകതകള്‍ ഉള്ളതും ആകര്‍ഷകവുമാണ്.

തമിഴും മലയാളവും കലര്‍ന്ന ഒരു ഭാഷാരീതിയാണ്/ കാറല്‍മാന്‍ ചരിതം പോലെയുള്ള/ ആദ്യകാല ചവിട്ടുനാടകങ്ങില്‍ ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്നത്./ തങ്ങളുടെ പ്രകടനത്തിന്നിടക്ക് / അഭിനേതാക്കളും നൃത്തക്കാരും പാട്ടുകള്‍ ഉച്ചത്തില്‍ പാടി,/ പലക വിരിച്ച തറയില്‍ ശക്തമായി ചവിട്ടി,/ കഥപറച്ചിലിന് ഊന്നല്‍ കൊടുക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കുന്ന രീതിയില്‍ നിന്നാണ്/ ചവിട്ടുനാടകത്തിന് അതിന്റെ പേര് ലഭിക്കുന്നത്. /അവസാനഭാഗത്തോടെ/ മരത്തിന്റെ പ്ലാറ്റ്‌ഫോം തകര്‍ന്ന് വീഴുന്നത്/ നാടകത്തിന്റെ വിജയമായി കണക്കാക്കിയിരുന്ന ഒരു കാലം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

If u have ever seen a good chavittu natakam,you wouldnt have uploaded this video.This is crap.The king looks like a clown,and the actors are pretty bad.This art requires a lot of practice and dedication.,please do not spoil such a wonderful art by posting craps like this.

I am sorry you clicked expected award winning performance and but experienced cruel disappointment. If you ever had any knowledge about performances like Chavittu Natakam, you would have already known that to produce such act takes top class performance with long months of dedicated training. The performers in this act are not professionals and it is not their source of income. They have also not taken any responsibly of pleasing random ppl who expect "Cirque De Suleil" on every video here.

Thanks for posting! This art is slowly vanishing from the Kerala. The intoduction is Great! The the style of dressing is awesome,especially the King.I didn't get chance to see many of it .I appreciate your effort and Thanks for promoting in such gatherings.. Nice enegetic dance .. You all rocks!

I am also a Latin catholic, originated from Trivandrum. Though I heard much about Chavittunadakam, I didn't get chances to see it many . I might have seen one or two. I think we should promote it . Atleast The Latin groups should show more interest in it. It is good to promote the news and videos through e-malayalee.
