I think your talking about So=ikorsky S-70 Blackhawks, cause thats pretty much all the helciopters i can remeber from the film, or did that have little birds too?

Possibly, that film was based on true event in Somalia, only 16 US soliders died and over 1,000 Somalia militia man topped it, theres a big death toll difference.

ill be a gimp and say that it is also used as an unmanned drone. but about that sub-hunter...how well known is the taiwan army?

I really didnt know that. I though its mainly User by US armed forces but apparently its also used by Iraqi army and Philipines.
