Medicare is a socialist program, it was not meant to be. Social Security, was actually a patriotic plan to invest in during WWII. FDR ask us to hold money in "trust" to the Government instead of saving and investing in private markets for our retirement (a 2% return, in the markets one could have made a fortune) it was voluntary. My mom still has her original metal SS card printed right on it-not to be used for identification-LBJ introduced Medicare-caid. The vets have indeed paid the price.

actually, some senators in ga. and fl. ARE trying to block any healthcare reform from their states,including medicare, medicaid ,and v.a. as these are, after all, "socialist" programs. they cant very well block a new govt run program, while continuing to allow others. so- these people opposing reform are hurting themselves even more than they realize. and i thank them for helping to keep it in the news. even if they are opposing it, the constant exposure keeps it alive. we need that very much

i got a good laugh at that ! but anyway, no i am not gay, nor have i ever been to a gay rally. but- i dont have a problem with allowing gays to live their lives. im not sure what 'truth' you are talking about. im sure you understand that drama queen is often used as a metaphor. oh- and there are many heteros who engage in"stinking" anal sex. we heteros dont have the market cornered in moral behavior. we have a high divorce rate, affairs, devient sex, etc. so self-righteous

Have your ever been to a gathering of "gays" who are not happy with "trampling their rights to have their stinking right to anal sex and fisting and gerbiling, when the people say we don't like it get it off our streets and no parades for you, all they do is yell and scream, dress in costumes and blow whistles. That is a drama queen scene. I bet you are gay. You just don't like the truth being brought out.

you are right on. i have watched the unbelievable drama with a little amusement, and a lot of puzzlement. how people can continue to yell and scream over things that have been debunked.they just refuse to let go of lies. and when approached with the facts, they just pull some other lie or assumption out of their behinds. they cant admit they have been acting like fools over what has been proven to be incorrect information,so they dig in their heels and hold on to those lies for all its worth

you are right. remember when they broke up and deregulated natural gas? the new, private gas suppliers immediately jacked up the prices,and customers saw their bills skyrocket. the gas companies had to hire extra help to turn off service to all the people who could not pay their bills. this included the elderly, children,suddenly left with no heat ,hot water,stove,etc. i am in there with you concerning health care. ive been waiting for years for reform. i feel that this time we will see change.

The only people leaving California are the pilgrims who came here from the Midwest and other parts of the country to work during the boom times, and now they can't cut it. if you really want to know the truth about the economy in California, go to craigslist and punch in "SF Bay Area" , then go to "rentals", and then punch in San Francisco. Those rents that you see will give you an honest and accurate reflection of the real demand there is to live in the SF Bay Area.
