There's some pretty unusual lighting in this episode. Most television is flat - this has some very aggressive modeling. Also, I like the crucifix shadow cast from the violin that appears on Louis' forehead when he holds the violin in front of his face towards the end of pt.2 - very subtle - I bet no one has ever picked this up.

They said Gladys kept her cancer hidden, but I wonder if they knew because she sure got a lot of screentime in this episode. I don't remember her getting so much, usually she would just run over and leave after seeing something crazy hehe.

Just as ABC and Screen Gems 'held' a couple of Dick York episodes to run at the end of Season 5 after he was forced to leave the show, this episode with Alice Pearce was held from earlier in the season following her death, and with a new opening segment shot to create the flashback sequence. Pearce's actual last show before her death was actually "Baby's First Paragraph," which was Episode 26 from Season 2.
