Personally, I try never to promise anything that I am not fairly sure I can fulfill. Not saying I don't screw up or that I always can do everything I promise but if not, there is usually very good reason. I think it is true that a man (or woman) is only as good as their word. ;^)
Regarding politicians, the reason they go for the negative ads is believe it or not they work more effectively than trying to be positive. Shame but it is true.

I seem to recall this mishap. Can't remember the specifics though. I didn't really think it would cause any shunning. Jeesh. That's rough. Sorry that this has happened! I only shun people who turn into freaks, and thankfully, that hasn't happened with anyone on YT.
If I ever get up Nawth, I'm definitely game to do a meetup!

As far as your views on politicians. I share the same views.
I have often though the same thing. I am totally fed up with them bashing eachother.
I'll be glad when these elections are over.
