  • have to say, i really admire your devotion to a project like this

  • thanks but i did not really do much just destroyed my old camera and nearly drowned..

    : )

  • Can anyone tell me if Super 8mm sound can be recorded using an outside source rather than recording "in camera" sound? If so, is a "sync device" like "crystal sync" required? If so, how many of the top end Cameras offer this feature and what are the +'s and -'s about it? I need any good sound advice from anyone. Thank you!

  • the weak link is the cameras..95% of cameras are wild.

beaulieu was the only company that made sync 24 and 25fps cameras.

i have old nizo, nikon, canon and leicina crystal cameras made for german tv in the early 1980s.

mini disk, nagras new compact flash recorders all work just you as clapper board.

the cameras are quite noisy, but super 8 sync looks cool.

  • i still have the camera.. although it filled up with water, for some strange reason it kept transporting the film.

it did not get to the end of the roll but came close.

i let everything dry out next day in the sunshine.

it is very soft focus because, the camera and film were designed for happy families on a sunny beach.

i was pushing the limits a little of this old analogue format..

  • when i first bought this record and stuck the cd in my computer this was the first video i watched. beautiful. "i must get back to the woods dear girls...." godspeed.

  • @oceankiddd

    yes..

the early days of cd quicktimes..

my computer could never play the mini movie..

i made do with the vinyl record i got from mark..

  • I don't usually comment on videos but this has really moved me. Just like some others said, Mark's music has really helped me out in ways that I can't even put to words. This is the most beautiful thing I've seen in a real long time -- thanks for sharing, friend. Tears were cried.

Mark, I hope you're lying on a big mossy rock somewhere with the sun shining bright on you.

  • @antiochus66 it was so fucking worth it. glad you survived :)

  • You music saved me sooo many times in my crappy life and helped me to move on... RIP.

  • Rip mark

  • I really think this is beautiful. Great job (:

  • God damm I miss this cat creating new tunes, making us feel that little bit better, feeding his great attitude to me in my lounge, stereo, fire, wine, joint and Sparklehorse.....with sadness man. peace.

  • hey, did your friend really died? I'm sorry for that...

    RIP Mark.

  • So beautiful, in intent, as a piece of history, as a song, as an idea, and in execution. Applause.
