~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
By yon bonnie banks and by yon bonnie braes
Where the sun shines bright on Loch Lomond
Where me and my true love will ne-er meet again
On the bonnie, bonnie banks o' Loch Lomon'.
O ye'll tak' the high road and I'll tak' the low road
And I'll be in Scotland afore ye
For me and my true love will ne-er meet again
On the bonnie, bonnie banks o' Loch Lomon'.
'Twas there that we parted in yon shady glen
On the steep, steep sides o' Ben Lomon'
Where in purple hue, the hielan hills we view
And the moon comin' out in the gloamin'.
Chorus
The wee birdies sing and the wild flowers spring
And in sunshine the waters are sleeping
But the broken heart, it kens nae second spring again
Tho' the waeful may cease frae their greetin'.
  • Mormons.
  • The mix of bagpipes does not work in this choral rendition. Best Religious Choir in the World dosen't require a poor mix of pipes to please what some producer mistakenly thinks will appeal to a wider audiance. (Incidently I do love bagpipes & Choral Singing, just not like this)
  • The blend in this arrangement is too bottom heavy, and it feels like it is missing harmony or something. Strange. I haven't heard many arrangements that I haven't liked; but there is too much happening in this one that does not work well together.
  • I never really like anything the mormon tabernacle choir does.
  • @sportchase  I'm not Scottish, nor Irish, nor British or English. And those pipes make my stomach turn. Yikes.
  • I'm Irish, not Scottish, but those bagpipes and organ make my ears bleed when they are mixed with this arrangement.
  • Beautiful
  • @ZUMSQWAT I agree, but I think it' the organ, not bagpipes. Whatever they are, it do not work. Awful arrangement.
  • I felt like the organ was more distracting than the bagpipes.
  • Yeah, great choral arrangement this, but the pipes are unnecessary and detract from it.
  • @silverfoxidm Thanks for writing, I agree with you. best, david (from my new channel)
