A Sankara bar employee dumping toilet overflow waste into beautiful tropical bay (November 2009, 8 AM). Notice the electrical pump to get rid of the all-night party toilet tank overflow waste. Awful stench around, shocking locals while tourists sleep.
By not investing in a proper toilet waste treatment facility, and asking their employee to do this, they not only damage the natural setting, but they also show COMPLETE DISRESPECT FOR THEIR OWN CUSTOMERS who enjoy swimming in these -until here- well-preserved waters.
Note that they are also ruining the surronding local businesses and children education by playing very loud music at night. Let's get the facts right:
- They never got any authorization for running a beach nightclub. Instead they fooled the local authorities by presenting a project for a classy beach lounge bar, like many others around not causing any problem. Come on, the place is surronded by guesthouses!
- They were warned many times, police came on numerous occasions, getting insulted by the Sankara owner the last time they came. The so-called clubbers always turn the sound back up as soon as the way is cleared. Something you probably want to avoid in a self-respecting country like Vietnam anyway, specially when you have already shown complete disrespect for locals.
Finally, since the Sankara people themselves are promoting their filthy place by writing "the countries nightlife pales in comparison to that of neighbouring Thailand.", the People of Viêt-Nam may wish to answer to them "SO BE IT!!!". Who enjoys Thailand's level of corruption, prostitution, drug abuse and mafia law, except selfish, self-admiring and hypocritical tourists?
Why don't you give it a try there, or in, say, your own country?
In the name of the children of Mui Ne, and the future of Viêt-Nam, a beautiful country that has always shown dignity and pride, thank you for letting everyone know about this.
Tell me what contry you are come from. I will tell the nasty of you country, asshole

that's pretty much what we've come to expect from Sankara... what they are dumping on the beach is how they have been dumping on us since they started here
A neighborhood with babies, school children, and hotel guests is being forced on a regular basis to put up with outdoor speakers blasting noise throughout the area, and drunks yelling through the night- still annoyingly loud through closed windows several hotels down the beach.
Sankara is a middle finger thrust in the face of Mui Ne.
