ltte is not taking the lives of ppl but they are taking the lives of the army. and they are also ready to go for peace talk but the government doesn't want to. and killing innocent Tamils.
i saw this film in the cinema! it made me cry :'(... do you know where i can get the dvd? it portrays the trouble that tamils went through. Yes the LTTE do take the lives of people, but so does the SriLankan Army..it takes 2 sides to have a war, and both sides are bad!
I'm not defending the LTTE. They did a lot of things which is against humanity. But this is the same what the Sri Lankan Army (ergo Sri Lankan Government) did!
And this was never a problem. All kingdoms lived in peace and harmony. Unfaithfully, the British ruined everything by their "divide et empera"-tactic, using Tamil People as the governing people.
This is the reason, why the struggles between Sinhalese and Tamils begun.
it seems like you've got a bit knowledge about the civil war in Sri Lanka. As someone who knows about that, you should know, that before the British came to Sri Lanka, the island was divided into three kingdoms. Two Sinhalese and one Tamil.
I am assuming this is a trailer for the film "In the Name of The Buddha". I have not seen this film, but I am very worried that the Lord Buddha's name and the Great Maha Sangha has been brought into this conflict by naming this type of film "In the Name of Buddha". To commercialise The Lord Buddha's name in this way really will not benefit anyone. The name of the film should be something like "Live by the Gun, Die By the Gun"
Until the leadership of the LTTE truly understand the Buddhist precept of Not to Kill, including Not to commit Violence and understand root cause of greed then only will the LTTE and it's supporters be on the path to peace. Otherwise, I can only see great suffering and loss for the Tamil people especially the peace loving Tamil population.
taking what is not yours...is many forms of abuse....all ways...is wrong....wrong

Don't judge the movie before you've watched it!

The Tamil People are not stealing from anyone. All they want is being treated equal to Sinhalese, which is unfortunely not the case.
Either the Sri Lankan government should treat them fair or they should give the tamils her land back!
