@v10mclaren Oval racing doesnt cut it in Europe unfortunately. It's hard for some people to sit there and watch open wheel cars, which are widely recognized for racing on actual circuits with right hand corners, for 200 laps around an oval. Same thing with nascar that just wouldnt cut it over there, theres no excitement and im not hating on either sport I watch all forms of racing but lets be real here, its not what they're used to and its not what they're looking for.

@56masl I'm from Canada we like formula 1 as well and I too think that oval racing open wheel cars at 200+ mph is stupid but formula 1 has had AND is still capable of having devastating wrecks, its just as dangerous at the end of the day because there are so many possibilities for wrecks with open wheel cars... open wheel racing is just dangerous in general but very exciting its why we watch.

I love Indy Car and Champcar Races, but they're too dangerous. I'm from europe, we love F1, i think it's less dangerous and it's as exciting as races on a oval track. It's not that high speed overtaking, wheel to wheel.

It's good luck to get injured at Phoenix b4 running the Indy 500.

@wippermannl Where the hell are you from? Canada?

@BurrsTheClown Amen. And I don't know about you, but Marty Reid is the most annoying commentator on the planet. I can't stand the guy.

@v10mclaren This must be the best comment about oval & conventional tracks comparision I've ever seen. :)
I wish Paul Page still did the IRL races. Both he and Bob Jenkins are far better than Jack Arute. Together with Goodyear and Arute make for the most boring commentary team ever.

That accident looks a bit like Kenny Bräck hit the back of Mike Groff at the same track.
