Same piece with Kathleen Battle is much more glorious!

Gruberova is awesome. So much technique and control and all in a very baroque form. Not pushed while keeping all the nice round tones.
Brava!

this is one of the few songs which I prefer sung by brighter, less powerful voices, but it's a fine rendition nonetheless.

I was never keen on Edita's voice, for some mad reason. This has definately changed my mind ;D

surely it's great, but i expected stronger voice and faster tempo

There is nothing this woman can't do!!! What a gem of a recording. I LOVE HER!!

Ms. Gruberova sings with ease yet with virtuosity. How does she do it?!! She is to singing as Martha Argerich is to playing the pianoforte. She is now my favorite soprano (among a few others).
my fiancee is singing this tomorrow...

Let the bright Seraphim in burning row,
Their loud uplifted Angel-trumpets blow,
Let the Cherubic host, in tuneful choirs,
Touch their immortal harps with golden wires.
