We need to stop legislating with our feelings. Laws are serious and their effects are serious. They should be based on consistently applied principles or they become unfairly biased towards certain individuals, groups, and cultures.

Most of this board is in English. Why do Indians never protest America's "beef market"? Considering issues additional to animal rights(the methane problem, the drain on the food supply) there's more reason to protest the beef industry than the dog meat industry.
