SonRise 2009 (8 of 9) - Calvary

SonRise is an interactive, put-you- there-at-the-scene trip through Christ's final days leading to His death and resurrection. The cast is made up of over 500 Southern Adventist University students and church members.

The Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church has offered this "walk-through" pageant since 1996. Held on the Saturday of Easter weekend, it begins in the Collegedale Church sanctuary and continues across the campus of Southern Adventist University. Casual dress and comfortable shoes are encouraged for the leisurely, less-than-a-mile walk. Be prepared for a warm day and bring water to keep yourself hydrated.

Man, wish the speakers could adequately capture the true power of that rumble. The first time I went to Sonrise was last year, and boy, I had completely forgotten about the earthquake. That thing hit us with a BAM! I nearly jumped out of my skin. Now that was power. AND the day was overcast, so it really felt authentic.
