BECAUSE OF THE DELIVERANCE I GET WHEN I HEAR HER I KNOW SHE IS CALLED TO DO THIS.

Unless I misunderstand this, Christ came so that we might be able to come back to God again. God can't stand the least amount of sin and so as sinners we were cut off from Him. Jesus came to make sure we, as sinners, had a advocate with God and that we could come back into His presence again. I suppose that could save us from Hell, but I don't think Hell was the reason He came. He is also the Ressurrection which gives us hope to come back to God too.

@Rebeca37 And God bless back at ya! God's really been drawing me closer to Him through the study of His Word in recent months after years of neglecting true Bible study. I believe Satan is always trying to keep us from getting in the Word by trying to convince us that Bible study is boring or that the Bible is completely outdated and doesn't apply to modern-day life today. Thousands of years ago, God's ppl were worshipping a golden calf, and today we worship the dollar. Study & u'll b shocked!

@Rebeca37 flames of HELL! I do hate to see her be so mixed up in the overall junk and just plain HERESY of the prosperity gospel, and I REALLY hate seeing her backing Joel Olsteen who has publicly REFUSED to acknowledge that a person CANNOT enter into Heaven without knowing Christ as his/her Savior. However, I do admire her wit and just her plain common sense, and while I cannot agree with a lot of what she says and does, I do thank her bc she has been a source of encouragement for me at times.

@Rebeca37 leaders and teachers in the Church. Supporting female leadership in the Church does NOT require the Bible to be changed or watered-down, but rather, it requires merely understanding what situations were being addressed in the Bible in its proper context.
As for Joyce, I do not agree with everything she says and does. I for one think she seriously needs to come off of this teaching that Jesus died to save us from a mundane life. No, Jesus came to save us from the eternal (Cont'd)

@Rebeca37 both women AND men alike. In the NT, there's the example of the husband and wife, Aquilla and Priscilla, and it was NOT only Aquilla but ALSO Priscilla, a WOMAN, TEACHING Apollos, a man. I'm not infallible like God is, of course, and I could be wrong and the ban could be universal, but the point is that you don't have to stop interpreting the Bible literally as it was meant to be interpreted in order to understand the position some Christians have about supporting female (Cont'd)

@Rebeca37 but I do not believe that that is the case. I believe there is evidence in the Bible, in BOTH the OT and the NT, of God supporting women being in places of spiritual authority over His people, women AND men alike, which in turn proves that the ban against female leadership of 1 Timothy was just addressing that one situation and wasn't the case for ALL churches. In Judges, God appointed Deborah to be in a clear place of not just governmental but SPIRITUAL authority, again over (cont'd)
