So she thinks looking at her childhood will benefit her? Why? It's her beliefs she needs to examine. What an archaic joke...this isn't Freud in the 1800's!
Holla! Have you tried anxiety zero technique (It is at anxiety0.info)? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my father pretty much cured anxiety with it.
@jessievz Nothing unusual about that. What do you expect??

Hi Abbie
Counselling/psychotherapy provides a space for growth - some prefer the term personal development.
Whatever you wish to discuss with your therapist can lead to new understanding - anything.
Make sure you find the right therapist for you - try a few before deciding upon one.
It will be a very enriching experience, if difficult at times.
Oh yes...I have never known "bad" shyness. You could be very shy - but as long as it does not lead to acts of evil, you are probably shy.

@AbbieD98 : it can help, yes -- it usually helps to talk to someone about issues you're having.

This is one of the worst counselling sessions I have seen in my life! The man greets her as if she has just walked in to McDonalds!!!
