My first attempt at an animation sequence using the open source 3D application Blender.

The goal was to cover as many of the basics as possible. There is a lot wrong with it, but I needed to finish it and move on.

Thanks to:

http://www.blender.org/ - for making this amazing application available for free.
http://www.renderfarm.fi/ - for rendering many of the frames.
http://www.blenderguru.com/ - for his many free tutorials.
and to the many who have and continue to post free tutorials.

Now for the next challenge.

  • Thanks.

  • Dude that is brilliant! Where did you get the models?

  • @SpareMomentStudios I did all the modelling myself.

  • @dinmakers In Blender?

  • @SpareMomentStudios Yes. All in Blender. Blender is brilliant, albeit intimidating, and with the new rendering engine and camera tracking due next month will be even better. Well worth a look if you're interested in bringing cgi into your films. And best of all it's free. BTW I enjoyed watching your stuff. Keep it coming.
