I think plastic is the better of the two. They last just as long, they don't leave your legs looking like freddys face and they are cheaper so even if you are rough on them they are easily replaced. I'm running the eclat slash pedals. Way better than any alloys I've run and the thermalites are good and about 10 dollars cheaper

@tudvemppi when your foot slips off the pedals plastic pedals wont hurt your leg as much as medal ones, also for light weight.

how come ppl use plastic pedals on bmx's oO? not really familiar with the sport, but i'd think metal once would last better.
