  • As much as I dislike the UFC, I've never has blamed them for the awful judging that faces the sport of MMA as a whole. I know every time I see a spit decision it honestly could mean anything.

However in my personal opinion, the main problem is the 10-point must system doesn't work for MMA. Lets face it, there's a noticeable bias in MMA towards grappling, and last time I check they don't judge jiu jitsu competitions with this system. You have judge fights in there entirety, simple as that.

  • The UFC can't have their own Judges. As it is there are so many claims that the Judges abs refs are sometimes influenced by the big boys at the UFC. Imagine if the ufc really did employ Judges. That's a terrible move. Judges aren't the only ignorant ones. Let's be honest, most of the fans on YouTube don't know shit and just want to watch two men kill each other and if they ain't standing and "banging" toe to toe then they ain't fighting. Wake up, this isn't street brawling anymore

  • @ghostphantom563 why do you dislike the UFC?

  • @AmberIsSeXXXy Actually one judge got it right...kinda... Nam won all three rounds but that judge only gave him two

  • I've seen some absolutely horrible decisions in my 17 years of watching MMA... but Nam Phan & Leonard Garcia had to be THEE WORST I've ever seen. Whoever the 3 judges were for that fight shouldn't even be watching MMA, let alone judging fights!

  • @ghostphantom563 i don't think it's a bias towards grappling, it's more of a bias towards wrestlers... there's a lot of intricacies to grappling that the judges don't seem to notice... guy on bottom has 10+ submission attempts and sweeps to get back to his feet, but the round goes to the guy on top just due to the fact that he initiated the take-down.

  • Joe Rogan keepin it real like he always does i love that guy

  • @mmafan105 if it werent for dana white then the ufc would never had turned out to be the best MMA organization ever. only thing that is gay like rogan said are the judges

  • @ghostphantom563 well actually they did make some horrible decisions too but not as many. Rampage vs Ninja Rua is one of the few I know of. I really think a good majority of the fans over there could do better than the UFC judges. THe problem is that UFC is new & when the commisions needed to find judges, they went for guys who have judged the only other big combat sport here, boxing. I find it strange that they score takedowns so high though. The criteria is too biased to aggression.

  • @thnk4urself Yes and no, for starters PRIDE judged on entirety and no one complains too much about there judging. Second, generally speaking the person who took more damage generally took that damage because they failed to defend themself, but I see your point. Lastly it's the job of the judge to look past physical damage.
