Jerland Fred Freeman, Sr., 82, died Friday, February 25, 2011 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater, Texas. He was born January 21, 1929 in Trent, Texas. He married Elnor McLeod December 18, 1949 in Roscoe, Texas.
He was a member of the Roscoe Church of Christ. He also owned and operated Freeman Trucking, Freeman Farms and was active with both until his death. He also was a 32nd Degree Mason, and served on various Community Boards. He had lived in Roscoe most all of his life.
Survivors: Wife, Elnor Freeman of Roscoe, Daughters, Pat Hagerman and husband Steve of Roscoe, Janetta Monday and husband Douglas of Shelbyville, Indiana, Sons, Don Freeman and wife Carol of Abilene, Texas, Steve Freeman and wife Jani of Breckenridge, Texas, Brother, J.T. Freeman of Lubbock, Texas, Sisters, Joyce Buckner of Sweetwater, Texas, Martha Kelley of Abilene, Texas, Melba Marth of Roscoe, Texas, Billye Sessions of Kemp, Texas, 20 Grandchildren, 24 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great-Grandchild.
Preceded By: Parents Joseph Roy Freeman and Lula Mae Freeman, a son Freddy Freeman and a daughter Terri Teltschik, a brother Luther Ashford Freeman.
Pallbearers: Jason Freeman, Jake Freeman, Colby Freeman, Kirby Freeman, Chris Hagerman, Kyle Hagerman, Shelby Teltschik, Wesley Teltschik, Riley Teltschik.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 28, 2011 at Roscoe Church of Christ. Interment will be in Roscoe Cemetery with Rian Freeman and Dan Boren officiating. Visitation will be 5:00-6:30 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2011 at McCoy Chapel of Memories in Sweetwater.
Memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.

What a treat to see some REAL Roscoeiana!! Good to see Jerland and Robbie in their "later" years and to hear the music. But I'm still trying to figure out who most everyone else is, but, that's OK, it's fun.
