Wow! I wasn’t ready for the emotions I would feel while reading Purgatory Behind the Wire. My heart broke, as it always does when I hear about mothers harming their own children. Kudos to the author for shedding light on such a devastating and misunderstood disease. Fascinating read!

I've alwayss been skeptical about post partum depression because I never experienced it with my 3 children, just didn't understand it or how any mother could harm her child. This book will be a great resource for people who felt like I did and may provide understanding and empathy for those suffering with this illness.
