Pete Sabin talks about two interrelated topics, peak oil and exponential population growth. He says oil production peaked in 1972 and production is decining rapidly. We humans face some tough choices in how we use our resources as our population increase exponential. Our population is going to crash if we don't take steps to lower it in a controlled manner

  • Natural resources are a one-time "gift" of sorts that lets us achieve a sustainable technological civilization. Emphasis on one-time. If we mess this up humanity will probably never recover.

  • drive with half a gas tank, in other words do not fill your gas tanks!!! drive your vehicle with less fuel in the tank.. less weight means less wasted gas.. there's an estimated 800 million vehicles world wide. if every vehicle dropped the amount of gas," say 10 gallons less in the tank". that would equate to 8 billion pounds less weight.. it's just one step to buy us more time to find other renewable enegy resources.. don't waste gas we will all suffer, especially your kids,and their kids!!!!!
