Yesterday, the Sri Lankan government declared victory in the 26-year civil war against ethnic Tamil rebels. After such a protracted struggle, many Sri Lankans know nothing but fighting; healing the nation will take a long time. Will the thousands who've fled the country come back? Today The Takeaway looks at the Tamil diaspora here in the U.S. We are joined by Ahilan Kadigarma, a spokesman with the Sri Lanka Democracy Forum, a diaspora network pushing for a political solution in Sri Lanka.
Ahilian I feel you are in the wrong place. Come back to Sri Lanka immidiatelyad participate all partyconference.
We need people who think differently and who is agressive in democratic means.

I like this guy, Ahilan. Hopefully, people like you can take the center stage in resolving this issue.
We need people who would look at this problem from the perspective of some non Sri Lankan but who still has and maintains deep roots to the country and it`s people. I urge the government to invite moderate people like Ahilan for talks in the all party conferences. Their views must be heard.

War was not with Tamils. Only with ltte, cause ltte kept killing too many ppl in south. Tamils in south were unhurt and still living in harmony.
All political settlements with Ltte were unsuccessful cause Ltte wanted only a seperate country.
Nou we have to make SL a better place for everybody to live happily.
