It doesn`t scan ! It is strange . In the UK we have compulsory religion at school , but the country , like most of Europe is Atheist. America is full of Christians (At least nominally ) but constitutionally prohibits the imposition of religion.
i fully agree, because people look at me funny if i pray before i eat or before a test oe even before a game. but it doesnt bother me. in fact i pray that they will see me a a true christian!
With the Recession, natural disasters, and our soldiers over in Iraq, and everything else, is thus really the time to take God out of our pledge, our country's prayer?
-----
May we not be all together under the power and love of God? Are we to break apart? Who are we to not show our love and care? We are a disappointment. We are shamed by this law. and it will haunt the country forever. Who are we to sit back and let this happen? I say we stand up for what
Now come on people, the school I went to was allowed to say the pledge, and I just stood there quietly when they said under God. Now if we really want to show disrespect to other religions, let's capitalize the G in God to make it one the Judeo/Christian God. Wrong! How about we can just change it to (insert god of your choice here or stand quietly) and it wouldn't hurt anyone.
Find another country who treats minorities as well as America. Who feeds them, educates them, and gives them a jury of their peers. Don't claim that persecution nonsense. It's completely invalid and lacks any kind of substantial evidence for it's claim. America is a great nation, one that is indeed, under God.
i don't know about other schools but the schools i went to were public schools with a dress code and a zero tolerence policy...we were not allowed to dress obscene nor were we aloud to curse or talk about drugs or whatnot...and i agree that the pledge should not be mandatory not only because of the mention of god but because the "liberty" that the pledge preaches is not true. "liberty and justice for all" is not true..we prosecute the blacks, gays, asians, religious, ect. its not justice for all
wow this is amazing nad true its very sad how we can do all this stuff like dress abscene and talk bout drugs in school but we can not say god in school thats just plain out stupidity i may not go to church every sundya but i do believe in god and that he is here and we shall not deny him he is amazing thank you for who ever put this on here it has touched me thnak you
People don't want to ban prayer from school; we simply want to not be forced to say it or here it from a school offical. Same with the pledge of allegiance. You may say it, but it should be a choice.

As a great man once similarly said:
