The person who said a girl from marchand or the C.D.C would not properly like the girl in the video is very ignorant and a little illiterate. You can't judge how someone would speak based on where they are from, or what kind of school they went to. By the way, i know Aiasha(the young woman in the video), she went to a public school.

ppl who make foolish statements like this are clearly uneducated. indeed ther are different dilects and acsents on this island but that does not in anyway affect someones ability to speack properly and by speak properly i mean take their time to pronounce words correctly and or have proper sentence structure. nor does the school you attend have anything to do wth it. its up to the individual.

@krya505 Because most St Lucians don't speak well they have a very whiny, sing-songy accent. Like Trinis but without the Indian undertones. They usually leave out the R from most words. Mister becomes mistaa and water becomes wataa etc. So let's not pretend all St.lucians speak proper. This young woman is obviously from the North of the island and she probably went to private school most of her life. A girl her age from Marchand or the C.D.C wouldn't speak like her.

@BrooklyntoBrixton Obiviously I don't care whether she has St. Lucian parents or not........ What I have a problem with is the reason for you saying her accent was off. I don't think her accent is off!!! She just sounds well spoken which I said in my second comment to you. It's just that every time a St.Lucian speaks well somebody says she might be from somewhere else or gives and excuse for the "accent" . She just speaks well and she sounds very St. Lucian to me...........that's all i'm saying

@krya505 Someone said she sounds like a Trini. So i simply said maybe it's because she grew up with a Guyanese father so her accent is a little different. Her Mom is English. But she was born and raised in St Lucia so she considers herself St Lucian. What's wrong with her not having St Lucian parents? Do you have a problem with that?
