Another great book is The Arctic Grail. Unbelievably good book.

Oh this is so totally awesome! Love this! I've been obsessed for years with the Franklin Expedition - have no idea why.

i just finished reading a book called the terror by dan simmonds! It was definetely an interesting insight into the franklin mission, allthough obviously not all of it true, i would definetely reccomend it!!

The depiction of the ship is inaccurate; the 'Erebus' was much smaller, had much less canvas spread and had an engine which enabled the use of a propeller. It was, after all, the most up-to-date and expsnsve expedition of its day. The climate was against them, there being no thaw in two successive Springs. Franklin, of course, was dead of a heart-attack not long after they entered the Arctic, so he was not part of the enfolding tragedy as such. Crozier, of Banbridge, Ireland, is the tragic hero.

Sinéad O'Connor it such a beautiful singer, i love this song!

I couldn't imagine how scary it would be trapped out in that cold, mysterious world with dwindling provisions, fierce cold and the endless dark of arctic winters...
I salute those brave sailors.

Sinéad and Sean-nos Nua is so far the best celtic album!!!!

this is the beast!!!! beautiful song, i love it!!!!!

Beautifully sung, arranged and accompanied - nice to hear an appropriate tempo that brings out the hauntingly sad lyrics and storyline so effectively.
