Fake plants unnatural habitat for the fish in it. Would look amazing with large fallen rock natural to the lakes in africa where the fish are found. Not plastic river plants found in south America.

do u your fish have babies

@peter2000tran1
My frontosa have not had any babies but several other species in the tank have. Firemouths, acara and red empress. The babies dont last long though. Once they swim away from parents they are snacks for the other fish.

does anyone know how old a frontosa has to be before you can determine if it is a male or female. i bought mine when it was the size of a thumb print and it is now over a year old and at least 3-4 inches long but has no bump on it's head. but it is digging nest sites. i think most male cichlids dig nests.

@1badla
Fronts are usually a good 6 inches long and around 2yrs old before breeding happens on a regular basis and even then its hit and miss. Also fronts are EXTREMELY hard to tell male from female. I can only pick out my alpha male because of attitude and behavior compared to the rest.
