  • what do you make with all of your violins??

  • @kaynewest1995 -- the violins that my brother and i play here on our eboyinc youtube channel are part of the collection of a professional violinist that passed away a few years ago. their family asked us to help the estate catalog the violins by recording a short sound sample of each instrument. you can see me and my brother playing our own violins on our personal youtube page, Musicasa2ndlanguage c:

  • how much did u bought for this violin??

  • hi...all of the violins that we have played here on youtube are from a collection of fine, antique violins...part of the estate of a professional orchestra violinist who spent a lifetime collecting them. we don't buy them or own them; we just spend about 10 minutes with each one...tuning it up and playing a minute or two for the videos that we post :D

  • @eboyinc um, what was this peice called? i want to learn it, of course i know it wont have the same sound quality on mine. youve got a stradivarius and ive got a samuel eastman violin made in germany during 2006

  • @TheDarkesT44 -- this violin is a nice antique strad reproduction made in germany and it does have a really nice sound, but i've heard that eastman produces a good violin. this is karl bohm's sarabande...i'd like to hear your version...post it when you're ready :D

  • In a famous blind test,a violin expert and violinists Stern & Zukerman tried to distinguish among a Strad, a 1739 Guarneri, an 1846 Vuillaume, and a 1976 British violin, each played behind a screen by a pro soloist. None identified more than 2 of the 4 violins. Two listeners identified the 20th century violin as the Strad.

  • The many blind tests from 1817 to the present have never found any difference in sound between Strad and high-quality

violins in comparable style of other makers and periods. Nor has acoustic

    analysis.

  • @eboyinc well it is pretty nice, i mean, it lives up to the fact that im my schools concert master and to me, and many people in my orchastra, its still the best violin as far as sound goes there.

  • thanks so much...i love the early 20th century german instruments. they really knew what they were doing back then. you know what they say about practice... :D

  • Wow I own a Strad copy from Germany! It was made in 1933.

Anyway, just wanted to comment and say you play so beautifully. I'm enjoying your uploads a lot. The music is great and the instruments are so lovely. Wish I could play like you! Guess I've just gotta practice. :)
