One of the earliest attempts to bridge the gap between art and games, Automata's Deus Ex Machina details the life and death of a artificially created lifeform. With a soundtrack streamed off tape and featuring several celebrities, this is worth a look! The videos have been split into several sections to meet with Youtube's 10-minute limit.

  • As an 8 year old I used to try to 'play' this game and we had no sound so I was completely baffled. It makes a little more sense now just under 30 years later!

  • The saxophone in the back makes me wonder if the Blockheads had any part in this stage, along with Ian Dury.

  • It's nice to also see the spectrum version. All I saw was a the C64 lets play... Too bad the sync seems to be a little wonky on this one :(

  • Im a fertalizing agent!

  • The green square is the player. The blue square is the Defect Police. Keep the green square away from the blue square.

  • Because I never played the game, what are the two coloured squares for? Love this music!
