Look, a hundred years ago you would be right, golf was an elitist game. A set of golf clubs back then cost a years wages for a working man and golf balls cost so much you would have been afraid to hit them. Golf course's themselves were rugged, windswept, peasant free fields, much unlike our manicured, pond studded excuse's to drink and drive course's we have today.
