Here is a Contest with Real Prizes. Rules are as follows:
-10 popular clips featuring Alaaps, Taans and/or Taraanas are presented in this video
-Identify the Song title, Film title and year, Music Composer & Lyricist (no lyricist required for the pure taraanas)
-Email your answers to: hfm.melodies@gmail.com
-Contest closing date: Nov 14, 2008
-Two books will be given out to two winners (based on a computer-programmed lottery)
-Winners will be contacted by email for complete address, and books will be dispatched
- Winner names will be published if they give permission
- Prize book is: Lata Geetkosh Vol I (Author: Snehasis Chatterjee)
-If you have already purchased the book or purchase this book prior to contest closing date, and you win this contest, you will get an equivalent discount on the up-coming volume of the Lata-Geetkosh series
-Contest is open with in India only. NRIs can participate as well, and if they win, the book will be shipped to any place of their choice with in India
