Bruce faces one of his toughest tests as he is inducted into Bwiti, a rainforest religion practiced by the Babongo people of Gabon. He's right to be worried -- on occasion the ritual, which involves consuming an overdose of a powerful hallucinogenic, iboga, has proved fatal. This dramatic episode follows Bruce's build-up to the ceremony, as he goes hunting, collecting forest honey and spends time getting to know his new friends, before they judge the time is right for his "rebirthing" ritual.

This show its amazing, Bruce it's an awesome person

But, it only shows how outsider people (being white people or any other color)

are destroying the forests and therefore killing a lifestyle that's older than us

If you ask me I don't think they need our help. Have they needed it for the past 2000 years? They choice should be theirs whether they want contact with the outside world or not.

It's incredibly courageous of Bruce to just do these things and rituals on his own.. over the years there's been a lot of groups who experienced living tribal, but they were together and able to share their feelings.. diving into an unknown world like this as a 'western-white-man' on your own.... shows guts.
