Christian Anderson does sort of sound like Nicky just from hearing some of his lines, but what happened to Rick Lyon? He didn't leave Avenue Q along with John Tartaglia, did he?

@MrMetalmanRock See I told you so, and if David Rudman were to do Rod his Rod would've sounded sort of Scooter or Baby Bear, hey you know who else does Nicky very well? Christian Anderson, and if you listen closely there's a bit of Martin in Chris' interpretation as opposed to Steve (whom Rick sounds like)

Man! That would be funny! BTW, Dirk almost sounded like Nicky because I listened to the voice in my head and it sounded sort of similar.

Dirk: Just when the house couldn't get any noisier (sigh)

BTW when I said Dirk sounded like Nicky I said ALMOST and I ain't "Lyon"

I've heard it before, and it sounds a lot like Boober Fraggle. If Marty Robinson were to do it, that is. And I'm sure you'd want to have a quiet proposal, unless you have friends there. Then it'd be as loud as the sketch! LOL XD

@MrMetalmanRock Just listen to Dirk when he says "Oh yeah?" it almost sounds like Nicky, also if all those doggone sounds got in the way of Dirk's proposal why didn't he just court Diredre in a quieter, sound free location? Hmm? if I had written this sketch here's how that part would've gone

Dirk: Diredre my dear, before I ask you my "very important question" would you follow me to the patio?

*later*

Dirk: Now, where was I? Oh yes, Diredre will you be mine?

Diredre:Oh yes Dirk, I will!

I don't know. I just think sometimes the original is better. I'm glad you found where I was talking about Diredre sounding like Kate Monster, and yes I remember we talked about Marty Robinson doing Nicky. He'd be good for Nicky, too.

@MrMetalmanRock Of course it'd sound like his Robin, and I think I heard a bit of Kate Monster somewhere in Diredre, when she said "You were about to ask me something?" (at least I think it was that line) and remember when we talked about Martin Robinson doing Nicky for Avenue Q, Dirk's voice is perfect for him (especially when he's getting all mushy and sentimental in the beginning)

Diredre sounds like Kate Monster in parts in the beginning. Also, this is just a question, but do you think if Matt did Gobo, would it sound like his Robin? Because Robin and Gobo both sounded the same when Jerry did them.

@MrMetalmanRock We've been seeing a lot of that Jerry Nelson/Matt Vogel "symbiosis" on SS lately, but I think Matt's Gobo would sound just like Jerry's he's got Floyd and Robin down pat, heck why not Gobo?

Also where exactly does Diredre sound like Kate Monster in Sounds of our Lives? just asking
